Semi-finished Gunstocks

Our walnut is air-dried to moisture content between 6% and 12%. All blanks are inspected for layout and flaws. Wood may contain flaws, checks, bark inclusions, or tiny voids that will be expertly repaired. If you are not 100% satisfied with a stock we welcome the return of the unaltered stock for a full refund, less shipping cost. If the stock has been altered in any way it will not be accepted for return.

Please add $15 shipping to each stock order. Virginia residents must include 5% sales tax. There is a 20% discount for FFL holders/dealers/gunsmiths/firearms retailers or for orders of four or more stocks. Send a signed copy of your FFL with your first order to qualify for the discount.

Orders are accepted by telephone at 276-773-3545 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM eastern time and are turned in order as received. Payment must accompany order; we accept Visa and Mastercard and postal service money orders. Personal checks will be held 15 days to clear; there is a $100 fee for returned checks. Your account will be charged/MO cashed when the order is ready to ship.

What is “semi-finished”?

We are unique in the replacement stock industry in that we use the original rifles and shotguns for our patterns. When a stock comes off the duplicator, it is inletted to approximately 95% and the outside of the stock has been sanded with 120 grit to remove any irregularities. The outside wood is oversize about the thickness of a nickel so the customer may shape or finish sand the stock to preference. All semi-finished stocks will have to be final shaped, final inletted, sanded and finished by the customer.

Some of our stocks come with a butt plate attached (standard length stocks) but most are furnished without butt plate, grip cap or any adornment. If you wish to have your stock inletted for an English-style sling swivel stud (two screw type) we will do this for an additional $45. The cut for this swivel stud base will be slightly undersize for final fitting. Also, if you want us to fit a recoil pad or butt plate on stocks that are normally supplied without these accessories, we will furnish a Pachmayr field pad and install it at your stated length of pull for $55. If you want a curved steel butt plate, we will furnish the plate and install it for $175, once again at your stated length of pull.

When ordering, please know your gun, and state which make and model, which style of butt (Winchester 94 has three types of butt, carbine, shotgun and standard), action information such as guard screw spacing on Mauser actions, large ring or small ring, tang length on lever action rifles and double shotguns, etc. We will help you select the right stock for your rifle. Remember, your satisfaction is our goal, we will do everything in our power to give you what you want at a fair price.
